Emergency Dentist Brisbane

Unfortunately, accidents do happen and can result in sustaining serious dental injuries. It is important that this concern is not brushed aside but addressed immediately by a dentist.

Smile Central - Emergency Dentistry

Visiting the dentists in a dental emergency can be the difference between saving and losing a tooth. If you are suffering persistent pain in your mouth, it is a sign that something is wrong. Dr Chris Lauf is available week nights after hours, and we accomodate for emergency times on the day.  Please call our office if you are experiencing a dental emergency.

Tooth loss

In the event that you have suffered an injury that has caused the tooth to come out. Book an emergency visit to the dentist immediately. The dental practitioner will assess the site of tooth loss and determine your options .   The sooner you get to the dentist with your tooth, the greater the chance our dentists have to save it.

Broken Tooth

If you have sustained a broken tooth, it is important to rinse your mouth with warm water to clean the area.  Place a cold compression on the area in order to minimise the swelling. Contact your dentist to book an emergency appointment. They will assess the extent of damage and provide you with the best form of treatment.

Toothache

If you are experiencing a toothache, do not ignore the pain and drown it out with medication. It is better to be safe than sorry, so contact your dentist for an emergency visit. Addressing the problem as soon as possible will save you time, money and further agony. When you experience a toothache, you should rinse your mouth with warm water and gently floss around the tooth to ensure no food debris is caught between your teeth.

Note: Do not put any form of painkiller adhesive against the gum surrounding the aching tooth as it could burn the gum tissue.
